Le Meridien Hotel in Limassol, Cyprus for Weddings

Le Meridien Hotel in Limassol is one of several hotels in Cyprus that is a serious magnet for weddings. It is a residents only resort meaning the wedding couple must be staying in the hotel to have their wedding here. Couples can exchange their vows on site in a romantic ceremony and there are numerous locations to choose from. Whether your preference is by one of the mosaic swimming pools, under a stone arch or in the hotel gardens. The pier is particularly popular for those getting married in a sunset ceremony followed by a cocktail reception

For couples getting married on a sunkissed island the dream is often to exchange vows on a beach. Unfortunately in Cyprus this isnt easily done, as many of the beaches are public property. But there are exceptions and at the Meridien here you can get married on both the beach and at the pier. Le Meridien is flexible in its approach to wedding ceremonies and receptions. You can celebrate with a glamorous formal occasion with dinner and dancing, or have a relaxed barbeque on the beach complete with a moonlit swim. This hotel doesnt have a specific bridal suite but instead it has 13 different suites to choose from. My favorite is this Royal spa suite which is located in the adults only section of the resort. There are four Royal Spa Suites and they are individually decorated with different themes and with purposely romantic colours. Each of the suites have their own oversized whirlpool bathtub overlooking the Spa and the lively waterfalls. They also have an astounding terrace with enchanting views of the resort grounds and the tranquil waters of the Mediterranean Sea.

Located on the 5th floor of the main building the presidential suite is opulently furnished and it offers exclusive service to attract discerning guests who like to enjoy the better things in life. As the best room in a hotel, the presidential suite has a huge amount of space and incredible views and of course theres always those little extras and in this case it happens to be a terrace with your own private swimming pool.

Most couples will arrive three or four days before their wedding to make sure they have all the final arrangements for their big day. But just as important is taking some time out for some pampering. Le Meridien Spa is the centre piece of the hotel, a new and quite unique Thalassotherapy Health Spa with four outdoor and three indoor pools, Its also been awarded best spa worldwide three times over, so with this recognition there is no doubting its pampering effect. The entire spa is surrounded by a freshwater pool featuring waterfalls and grottoes and the largest seawater pool on the island, theres also an inland lagoon with a Japanese restaurant It is an oasis for total relaxation and one of the best for therapeutic treatment

Cyprus Weather

Cyprus is the warmest island in the Mediterranean. The mean daily temperature in July and August ranges between 29°C on the central plain to 22°C on the Troodos mountains, while the average maximum temperature for these months ranges between 36°C and 27°C respectively. Winters are mild. The island, on average, enjoys more than 300 days of sunshine every year, and the rainy season is confined to the period between November and March. Snow occurs rarely in the lowland and on the northern range of Keryneia but falls every winter on ground above 1.000 metres on the Troodos Range, usually occurring by the first week in December and ending by the middle of April.
